Editorial Modeling
For Editorial Modeling, models work for a particular publication such as Elle, Glamour, Cosmo, etc. These, as well as many other Fashion Magazines, have a lot of editorial pages they must fill each month. Often editorial spreads will feature what the magazine thinks will be the next fashion trend. Fashion magazines can also use more "extreme" or "unique" models since they are less constrained than advertising work. While the pay is considerably lower for editorial modeling than many of the other forms, it is a great way for a model to get exposure and get tear sheets for their portfolio. It can also open the door to High Fashion Modeling.
