There are many forms of print modeling- from magazines, to promotional materials, flyers, cd covers, and so on.
"Print" simply refers to any form of modeling that appears in a publication. With the vast varieties of
publications out there, it is important that you are familiar with who you are working for and what you are
promoting-again, research is key-and you must be comfortable with the work you do.
Another important matter is compensation. So often models look for the highest paying jobs, but this is not
usually the best approach. Typical pay for the average print jobs is usually between $150 to a few thousand
dollars, depending on many factors, with the most money being made in commercial work and advertising. Only
well-known models make the big money for big print ad campaigns. However, this shouldn't discourage you. Even
the Giselle Bundchen's and Kate Moss's had to get their start somewhere. There is great potential to get your
face and name out there thanks to Print modeling and the exposure you can get from it. And as anyone in the
industry will tell you, exposure is an extremely important thing for a model.
