Be A Model
Google

The Teen Modeling Market is called the junior market. Models are between the ages of 13 and 24 depending on how young a model comes across in advertising. The required height is between 5'7” and 5'10” for fashion modeling. Commercial models can be any height as it is more about a certain look an advertiser is looking for.

The first thing you need to have to start modeling is a few snapshots: 1 headshot, 1 body shot, and 1 3/4 body shot. These do not need to be professional photos. Regular pictures taken at home with a digital camera are fine. You will need to bring these with you to attend an agency open call, or when meeting with an agent after an interview has been set up. If an agency calls you in to meet with them you must bring at least one parent or guardian with you.

Some important tips for meeting with an agent are:

  1. Maintain a positive attitude at all times
  2. Be professional and dress neatly
  3. Wear little or no makeup and keep your hairstyle simple.

Keep in mind that modeling is a very challenging career to pursue. It takes a lot of work and time to become a working model (getting paid for jobs or bookings). So have patience, but most importantly, have fun.
